About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity for John Deere Ag Tech students to gain hands-on experience in our service department. You will work alongside our team to learn about dealership operations while completing service-related projects. The program runs in conjunction with the John Deere Ag Tech program and combines classroom learning with practical shop experience.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic diagnostics, maintenance, and service repairs on agricultural and turf equipment.
- Work with and shadow experienced personnel in the service department.
- Participate in Service EDUCATE training programs to build your skills.
- Keep up to date on John Deere and competitive product lines.
- Complete necessary reports, forms, and time cards for your assignments.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while working in the shop.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Current enrollment in an AAS degree program for John Deere Tech.
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- A valid driver's license.
- The ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
- Experience using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures.

- Location: Velva, North Dakota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Compensation: $22 per hour for the first year and $24 per hour for the second year.
- Term: Rolling.
