About the role#
The Ministry of Technology and Innovation is hiring students for temporary positions starting in Fall 2026. These roles support the Data and Content Management, Digital Design and Delivery, and Technology Support and Operations divisions. You will work on projects related to data management, governance, architecture, and product delivery. This is a full-time opportunity involving 36.25 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Understand business and information needs for the AI Center of Excellence.
- Translate business requirements into analytics and reporting needs to support executive decision-making.
- Research and apply machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence techniques to improve data analysis efficiency.
- Support Product and Platforms teams with front-end and back-end software development within a multidisciplinary team.
- Assist with data visualization and the development of reports.
- Provide technical expertise for service and IMT operations.
- Contribute to government artificial intelligence programs and robotic process automation.
What you'll need#
- A two-year technical diploma in Computer Science, Information Management Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience with research, model building, data collection, and analysis.
- Experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- A high-level understanding of designing, programming, and implementing large, complex information systems.
- Analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
- Enrollment in a post-secondary institution for September 2026 or graduation within the last six months.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.

- Compensation: $29.87 to $51.18 per hour, depending on the specific classification.
