    About the role#

    Join our laboratory team to gain hands-on experience in equipment implementation, quality processes, and daily operations. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support testing activities and contribute to projects that improve the efficiency of the laboratory. This role offers exposure to the farm to fork process, including facility tours and product experience. You will also participate in networking events, volunteer opportunities, and personal development training.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the installation, qualification, calibration, and commissioning of new chemistry laboratory equipment.
    • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions for laboratory equipment.
    • Train laboratory personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices.
    • Participate in internal audits, process reviews, document control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Assist with routine laboratory testing and daily laboratory operations.
    • Help maintain ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation through documentation review and quality record management.
    • Identify improvement opportunities and support corrective actions within the quality system.

    What you'll need#

    • Sophomore status or higher pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, food science, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including graphing, table creation, and data analysis.
    • Basic understanding of laboratory practices, analytical testing, and laboratory safety principles.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
    • Strong mathematical skills and an understanding of basic statistical concepts.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Previous experience in a laboratory, science, or quality-related setting is preferred.
