About the role#
As an Assistant Project Engineer Intern, you will work on-site to support our project managers and field teams. This role offers a realistic look at full-time construction work. You will handle meaningful tasks and contribute to project success while gaining exposure to daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Support project managers and field teams with documentation, scheduling, and daily coordination.
- Review project drawings and specifications to ensure they meet project goals and industry standards.
- Track and document project progress, such as material deliveries, daily logs, and work completed.
- Attend on-site meetings to observe real-time problem-solving and decision-making.
- Prepare RFIs and submittals to help the team meet project milestones.
- Observe on-site conditions to help maintain safety standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers on logistics and procurement.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, building construction management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a self-starter mindset.
- Ability to work full-time.

- Locations: Lansing, MI and East Lansing, MI.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date.
