About the role#
This is a paid summer internship based in East Lansing, Michigan. You will work with the Marketing and Public Relations Department to help shape our brand narrative. This role provides hands-on experience in an in-house agency setting within the agricultural and rural finance industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing and public relations plans.
- Create content for social media, blogs, websites, and internal publications.
- Conduct interviews and write feature articles.
- Produce short and long-form blogs, record v-logs, and capture photos.
- Support social media engagement by curating content for our audience.
- Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform communication strategies.
- Update the company website by drafting and reviewing posts.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, agribusiness, or a related field.
- Sophomore status or above.
- A minimum GPA of 3.00.
- Strong interest in or prior experience within the agricultural sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong writing, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A self-motivated work ethic and a desire to learn.
