About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the summer of 2027. You will work with the Customer Experience, Marketing, and Government, Industry, & Member Relations teams. You will assist with projects involving customer engagement, branding, educational programming, and outreach to young, beginning, and small farmers. You will also participate in cross-functional initiatives and a group intern project.
What you'll do#
- Support marketing campaigns, customer education projects, and government affairs activities.
- Plan, coordinate, and attend customer meetings and industry events.
- Represent the company at customer-facing activities.
- Create content for digital marketing, webinars, online learning modules, and communications.
- Assist with association-wide campaigns and customer experience initiatives.
- Support the Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement scholarship program through data analysis and event planning.
- Input engagement information and activity records into CRM systems.
- Learn about the Farm Credit System and the company mission.
- Work with internal workgroups and committees on special assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Ag Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between May 2028 and December 2029.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation for travel to various offices and events within the company territory.
- Experience in agriculture is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in one of the following locations: Mount Joy, Mechanicsburg, Shoemakersville, York, Lewisburg, or Reedsville, Pennsylvania.
- The internship lasts 10 to 12 weeks, running from mid-May through early August 2027.
- Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
