About the role#
As a Water + Environment Student Intern, you will work with experienced engineers on real-world projects. This role focuses on applying your classroom knowledge to the design and delivery of infrastructure. You will gain hands-on experience and learn how multidisciplinary teams collaborate to solve technical challenges.
What you'll do#
- Assist with engineering drawings, calculations, and project documentation.
- Support design tasks using software like Revit, Civil 3D, or MicroStation.
- Conduct research, gather project data, and help prepare reports and cost estimates.
- Visit project sites to observe existing conditions and construction progress.
- Collaborate with team members to learn the project delivery process.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and exposure to engineering or design software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong time management, task prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Curiosity and initiative in your daily work.
