About the role#
The GPSU Military - Commercial Fellowship is designed for separating service members and military spouses. This program supports those looking to transition into commercial roles through initiatives such as DoD Skillbridge, the Army Career Skills Program, Hiring Our Heroes, or MSEP. You will work alongside subject matter experts to provide cybersecurity services and gain practical experience in the field.
What you'll do#
- Engage in hands-on technical development and real-world security response.
- Participate in collaborative project work.
- Shadow team members and specific positions to learn daily operations.
- Complete partner-led vendor training and earn professional certifications.
What you'll need#
- You are separating from active-duty service within the next 18 months.
- You are eligible to conduct a fellowship through DoD Skillbridge, Army Career Skills Program, Hiring Our Heroes, or MSEP.
- You have at least a basic knowledge of networking, common security tools, and practices.
- Preference is given to those currently serving in IT or cyber positions.
- You must be located within the United States for the duration of the fellowship and any future full-time employment.
- Relevant academic backgrounds include Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.

- This is a remote role based in the United States.
- The fellowship term is rolling.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- No security clearance is required for this fellowship.
