About the role#
This fellowship is designed for separating service members transitioning into technical federal roles. You will work with subject matter experts to provide cyber security services. The program focuses on building your skills for future full-time employment while you complete your military service transition.
What you'll do#
- Complete in-house training programs.
- Work on projects to enhance security knowledge and skills.
- Gain experience through hands-on technical development, real-world security response, and collaborative project work.
- Participate in team and position shadowing.
- Engage in partner-led vendor training and certifications.
What you'll need#
- Separation from active-duty military service within the next 18 months.
- An active security clearance at the Top Secret level or higher.
- Eligibility to conduct an internship through DoD Skillbridge, Army Career Skills Program, or Hiring Our Heroes.
- Basic knowledge of networking, common security tools, and practices.
- Current location within the United States for the duration of the fellowship.
- Preference is given to those currently serving in IT, intelligence, or cyber positions.

- The fellowship is based in Reston, Virginia.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- The work modality is hybrid, though on-site work is required for these federal positions.
- Eligible majors include Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Data Science.
