About the role#
The Private Events & Guest Experience Intern works with our team to create positive experiences for visitors and event guests at the Hall of Fame Village. You will support the planning and execution of private events while managing daily guest-facing operations. This role involves assisting with event logistics and ensuring every guest interaction is welcoming.
What you'll do#
- Update the event dashboard on SharePoint and assist with event creation ideas.
- Create and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Develop SOPs, event packages, and sales campaign materials to support the growth of the private events business.
- Provide guest service to visitors, clients, vendors, and staff.
- Assist with event set-up and breakdown for private and major events.
- Communicate with various departments to ensure efficiency across campus facilities.
- Oversee guest experience and event staff during stadium events and activations.
- Perform flexible roles as needed, including ushering, security, and parking support.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Sports Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, guest relations, or event operations.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to think proactively and solve problems in an active event environment.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while assisting with event operations.
