About the role#
The Operations Intern provides day-to-day support across the Hall of Fame Village campus. You will gain hands-on experience in sports, events, facility, and stadium operations. This role involves working with multiple departments to contribute to high-profile football events and operational improvement projects. This is a paid, part-time internship for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Provide guest service to visitors, clients, vendors, and staff.
- Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of private, campus, and sporting events.
- Support operations for Canton McKinley Football regular season and postseason events.
- Coordinate and facilitate the schedule of football events throughout the fall.
- Collect, distribute, and organize event sheets and operational documentation for large-scale events.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, maintaining calendars, and event checklists.
- Support inventory management and asset-tagging initiatives for operational equipment.
- Serve in flexible event-support roles including usher, parking, and security support as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in sports, event management, facility management, or venue operations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with guests and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various Ohio weather conditions.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while assisting with event setup and breakdown.
