About the role#
The Legal Intern will work with our General Counsel and the broader legal team. You will support corporate governance, regulatory compliance, commercial transactions, intellectual property, and government affairs. This is a chance to gain experience in a startup environment within the electric vehicle industry.
What you'll do#
- Draft, review, and revise contracts, including NDAs, supplier agreements, and customer agreements.
- Conduct legal research on compliance issues and incentives related to the commercial EV industry.
- Contribute to government affairs initiatives, including policy research and engagement strategies.
- Support joint ventures, partnerships, and strategic transactions by assisting with due diligence and documentation.
- Help develop internal legal processes to improve efficiency and risk management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a J.D. program, with 1L or 2L students preferred.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Garden Grove, California.
- Modality: On-site, 4-5 days per week.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $25-35 per hour.
- Relocation: A $1,000 stipend is available for those living more than 50 miles away.
