About the role#
We are looking for an engineering student to join our Powertrain Manufacturing team. You will support the development and production of our Electric Drive Unit system, including the rotor and stator. This role offers the chance to gain experience during an early stage of product development.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design of manufacturing standards, processes, and tooling for the Powertrain system.
- Develop and document work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and solve production issues.
- Help design, test, and validate new tools and equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing practices.
- Prepare reports and presentations to share your findings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, Computer, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Familiarity with CAD software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Garden Grove, California.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Term: Winter 2027 (8-15 weeks).
- Compensation: $25-35 per hour.
- Relocation: A $1,000 stipend is available for interns living more than 50 miles from the facility.
