About the role#
Harris Williams is hiring 2027 M&A Summer Associates for our Richmond team. This full-time internship offers you the chance to learn the deal process through live transaction work alongside seasoned banking professionals. You will participate in a training program at our Richmond headquarters to build foundational knowledge of M&A and prepare for client engagements.
What you'll do#
- Drive work forward in partnership with analysts.
- Contribute to the full lifecycle of multiple client engagements.
- Interact with clients and senior bankers.
- Manage multiple workstreams while maintaining focus on quality.
- Translate data and analysis into actionable insights and deal strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Learning agility and a proactive approach to new information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- A working understanding of accounting and finance concepts, including financial statements.
- Problem solving and data analysis capabilities.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
