About the role#
Harris Williams is hiring Summer Associates for our 2027 M&A program in San Francisco. This role is designed to simulate the experience of a full-time associate, providing you with direct exposure to live transaction work and senior banking professionals. You will participate in the full lifecycle of client engagements while developing your skills as a trusted advisor.
What you'll do#
- Drive work forward in partnership with analysts to ensure successful project delivery.
- Engage directly with clients and senior bankers to support strategic goals.
- Shape the trajectory of clients' businesses through rigorous M&A and private capital advisory work.
- Participate in live transaction work to gain practical experience in the deal process.
What you'll need#
- A curious and proactive approach to learning and professional development.
- The ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively to various audiences.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically advanced Excel skills including formulas, data validation, and tables.
- A working understanding of accounting and finance, including how financial statements connect.
- The ability to identify trends in complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
- Relevant academic background in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
