About the role#
Hatch is seeking a Civil Engineering student to join the Infrastructure, Rail team in Vancouver, British Columbia. This position involves working on major railway projects throughout Western Canada. You will work from the office on a full-time basis for a 4-month or 8-month term starting in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Produce drawings ranging from concept to detailed design.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create functional designs that follow regulations, laws, and design standards.
- Maintain quality control processes to ensure high standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering Degree or Diploma at an accredited college or university.
- Knowledge of current technical engineering codes and practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage time and handle competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D is considered an asset.

- Compensation: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour.
