About the role#
Heidelberg Materials is hiring a Mining Engineer Intern to join our team in Mccook, Illinois. This is a full-time, paid, rolling internship that provides hands-on experience in aggregate mining and production. You will work in both office and outdoor environments, gaining exposure to active production areas and operational sites.
What you'll do#
- Support daily aggregate mining and production through field work.
- Assist with safety, environmental, and operational compliance initiatives.
- Collect, analyze, and report data to support improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional teams on maintenance and production projects.
- Participate in problem-solving activities to improve operational efficiency, quality, and performance.
