About the role#
This is a one-year internship position based in Irvine, California. You will work 20-25 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer. The role is paid at a rate of $22-$27 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Create adhesive formulations for electronic applications in a lab setting.
- Run experiments by preparing formulations and measuring physical and chemical properties.
- Analyze and compile test data to support product development decisions.
- Maintain lab safety standards and participate in 5S organizational activities.
- Use the Albert platform to track and report lab data.
- Work with the R&D team on innovation and improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student (Junior or Senior) or a recent graduate (Summer 2025).
- Pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Materials & Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience with lab techniques such as synthesis, characterization, titration, and spectroscopy.
- Familiarity with lab safety protocols and chemical handling.
- Proficiency with analytical instruments including FTIR, DSC, TGA, NMR, and GPC.
- Ability to document and report experimental results.
- Ability to commute to the Irvine office.
