About the role#
Hexcel is looking for a Maintenance & Facilities Engineering Intern to join our team in Kent, Washington. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role. We are looking for someone who can commit to at least 6 months of work. You must be a U.S. citizen or hold a qualifying immigration status to be eligible.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain a database for our maintenance program.
- Schedule and track preventative maintenance activities and work orders.
- Create and update work instructions.
- Conduct equipment research, including identifying serial numbers.
- Assist with plant mapping, equipment evaluations, and layout planning.
- Provide general support to the maintenance and facilities team.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a relevant degree program, such as Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Good organizational skills for managing schedules and work orders.
- Attention to detail for tasks like equipment research.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and a valid driver's license.
