About the role#
HII is hiring a Corporate Strategy and Development Intern for the summer of 2027. This position is based in Arlington, Virginia, and supports the team responsible for enterprise strategy, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, and annual strategic planning. You will contribute to major initiatives and gain exposure to the core operations of a defense and space manufacturing organization.
What you'll do#
- Support organic and inorganic strategy projects, including M&A transaction support.
- Perform defense budget analysis and market research.
- Assist with go-to-market strategies and new market development.
- Contribute to operational and technology strategy initiatives.
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation, and business case analysis.
- Develop briefing and review materials for leadership.
- Assist with project management and due diligence tasks.
- Cultivate professional relationships across the organization.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year college or university, or a 2+2 program.
- Status as a rising Junior or above, or current enrollment in a relevant Master's program.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work a 40-hour work week for at least 10 weeks during the summer.
- Majors in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Communications, Marketing, or English.
- Prior relevant coursework in Business or Economics is preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
- US citizenship is required.

- Modality: This is an on-site role. Telework is not available.
- Schedule: Full-time internship for the Summer 2027 term.
- Compensation: The salary range is $44,988 to $69,412. Final pay is based on experience and qualifications.
