About the role#
HII is seeking a Corporate Business Management Intern to join our team in Newport News, Virginia. This summer internship focuses on government cost accounting and provides exposure to the business operations of a global defense provider. You will work directly with our corporate team to support financial and accounting processes.
What you'll do#
- Develop corporate office budgets.
- Prepare accounting entries.
- Assist senior cost accountants with incurred cost submissions.
- Support DCAA information requests.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year university or 2+2 program, with rising Junior status or higher.
- Current enrollment in a Master's program is also acceptable.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax Accounting, or Computer Information Science/IT.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks.
- US Citizenship.
- Intent to return to school in the fall following the internship.
