About the role#
This internship is part of the HITT Futures Program. You will work alongside project managers and superintendents to gain hands-on experience in construction management. This is a 10-week, paid, full-time program running from May 24, 2027, to August 5, 2027. You will receive mentorship, attend professional development courses, and participate in networking events.
What you'll do#
- Support project delivery and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Handle material tracking and file management.
- Draft submittals, RFIs, and change orders as part of document control.
- Assist in preparing bid packages and evaluating subcontractor bids.
- Review construction drawings and verify site conditions.
- Aid in progress reporting and internal team communication.
- Support safety and quality control efforts on the jobsite.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full 10-week program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn project-specific software systems.
- A focus on client needs and the ability to work well within a team.
