About the role#
Honkamp, P.C. is hiring an Assurance Intern in St. Louis. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term. You will work on-site and assist with audit, review, and compilation engagements while receiving direct supervision and coaching. This role is intended for students interested in a long-term career in public accounting who want to develop technical skills and client service experience.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and complete tasks for audit, review, and compilation engagements.
- Document your work clearly and effectively.
- Learn financial reporting requirements, including US GAAP, FRF for SMEs, and Tax.
- Build professional relationships within the team and support a continuous learning environment.
- Assist with client service delivery and maintain existing client relationships.
- Help with administrative functions and participate in office initiatives like recruitment or marketing.
- Learn the firm's assurance software, policies, and procedures.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in an accounting-related field.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment.
- Capacity to work in a shared office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position at a desk for extended periods.
