About the role#
This position oversees the Learning Management System (LMS) support desk and leads a team of up to 10 student employees. You will serve as the primary link between the student support team and full-time ITRC staff. The role focuses on ensuring faculty and students receive effective support for Canvas and other university educational technologies.
What you'll do#
- Manage student staff, including scheduling, timekeeping, and training.
- Oversee daily support desk operations for tools like Canvas, Zoom, and Turnitin.
- Route complex technical issues to full-time staff by creating and managing support incidents.
- Optimize resource allocation and balance workloads across your student team.
- Develop and maintain workflow documentation to help the team resolve support requests.
- Monitor performance metrics and coordinate with the IT Service Desk on system updates.
What you'll need#
- Valid U.S. work authorization.
- Prior experience leading or managing a team.
- Ability to create clear training materials and operational workflows.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems.
- Majors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Communications, or Business Administration are preferred.
