About the role#
Impulse Space is hiring an Electric Propulsion Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. You will join our team to support the development and testing of electric propulsion systems for the Mira spacecraft. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Redondo Beach.
What you'll do#
You will work alongside experienced propulsion engineers on projects that span the entire hardware lifecycle. Your work includes:
- Contributing to concept design and manufacturing.
- Assisting with hardware integration.
- Participating in lab testing and working on diagnostics.
- Conducting vacuum chamber testing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- An interest in electric propulsion systems.
- Experience or coursework related to vacuum chamber testing, diagnostics, or hardware development.
- The ability to work closely with experienced propulsion engineers.
Location & details#
- Location: Redondo Beach, California.
- Term: 12 weeks, running from May or June through August or September 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
