About the role#
As a Facilities Services Intern, you will support the infrastructure that powers Intel's semiconductor manufacturing. You will work on-site to help maintain the systems that keep our operations running safely and reliably. This role provides exposure to facilities engineering, chemical management, water treatment, and environmental health and safety.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze system and equipment performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Assist with troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical problem solving.
- Contribute to the safe, reliable, and sustainable operation of critical facility systems.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to solve real-world engineering challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Instrumentation and Controls, Microelectronics, Renewable Energy Technology, Environmental Technology, Water/Purification Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- At least 3 months of experience in engineering, research, analytical, technical, educational, or industry settings.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Demonstrated teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship program.
- Available start terms include Spring 2027 and Summer 2027.
- This position requires an on-site presence.
- Locations include Hillsboro, Oregon; Folsom, California; Santa Clara, California; and Phoenix, Arizona.
- This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship.
