    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work within our product engineering team to evaluate battery cell technologies and support our research into energy storage. This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring you to be in the Milwaukee area.

    What you'll do#

    • Investigate and evaluate potential battery cell suppliers and new energy storage technologies.
    • Work with cell chemistries including Li-Ion, Na-Ion, and UCaps.
    • Perform cell teardowns to analyze mechanical designs and chemical compositions.
    • Help create test plans and monitor cell testing activities.
    • Partner with the cell test team to coordinate testing and collect performance data.
    • Analyze test results to create reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
    • Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to identify technologies that meet customer requirements.
    • Compare cell designs to determine performance, quality, and application fit.
    • Review and summarize technical reports from suppliers.
    • Document teardown observations and assist with validation planning for customer projects.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
    • Pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, or Materials Science.
    • Ability to work in the greater Milwaukee area during the summer.
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
