About the role#
As a Software Research Engineering PhD Intern, you will build integrated software solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to combine system-level knowledge with application development. This role involves contributing to architecture design, prototyping features, and analyzing performance to support Intel Foundry objectives.
What you'll do#
- Develop software solutions by integrating system-level understanding with application needs.
- Assist in architecture design, feature prototyping, and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and customer engineering teams.
- Refactor, consolidate, and standardize yield reports.
- Build frameworks to optimize interconnectivity and report consolidation.
- Create UI style guidelines and assets for reporting tools.
- Explore new analytic capabilities to improve software and system performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program for Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong computational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor defect analysis workflows.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enthusiasm for learning new concepts.
- Experience with PDF Extension, JSL, and Power BI is preferred.
- Familiarity with analytic tools is a plus.
