About the role#
This is a student employment position for the academic year. You will support the Office of Access, Opportunity, and Achievement (OAOA) by helping peers with their academic, social, and personal development. This role involves building community and trust within the OAOA network while gaining professional experience. You will report to the CSTEP Coordinator and work up to 12 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Provide academic and socio-emotional support to students.
- Maintain regular contact with OAOA students.
- Plan, market, and manage events, including creating event budgets.
- Keep the office space clean and organized.
- Compile program evaluations and handle general office tasks.
- Offer evening and weekend hours to ensure student access to program spaces.
- Adhere to confidentiality and privacy standards regarding student support services.
- Participate in development activities, including training sessions and meetings.
What you'll need#
- Membership in CSTEP or CSTEM is required.
- Familiarity with the programs and services offered by the Office of Access, Opportunity, and Achievement.
- Ability to connect with other students.
- A willingness to embrace growth.
- An understanding of the impact OAOA programs have on students.
- Majors in Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources, Communications, or Business Administration are encouraged to apply.

- Pay: $16.00 per hour.
