About the role#
We are looking for a Reliability Engineering Co-op Student to join our team in Fort Edward, New York, for the Winter 2027 term. This position offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on the maintenance and performance of plant equipment and systems.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Project Engineering to ensure new and modified installations are reliable and easy to maintain.
- Participate in the development of design specifications, installation plans, and commissioning processes.
- Define, monitor, and refine Asset Maintenance Plans to improve equipment performance.
- Analyze asset data, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness, utilization rates, and remaining useful life, in coordination with the Production team.
- Develop engineering solutions to address repetitive equipment failures and other operational issues.
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance personnel while learning to apply data analysis techniques like Root Cause Failure Analysis and Statistical Process Control.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering degree program, with at least 2 years of coursework completed.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
- A high level of professionalism and the ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with CAD, Visio, or database management is considered a benefit but is not required.
