    About the role#

    Jefferson Healthcare offers clinical observation opportunities for students exploring careers in healthcare. This program supports those who need observation hours for application or admission to accredited healthcare programs. Priority is given to students living in Jefferson County or attending local schools. Participants may observe for up to 40 hours.

    What you'll do#

    • Observe clinical operations within the facility.
    • Remain hands off at all times. You will not perform direct patient care or interact with patients.
    • Stay accompanied by a Jefferson Healthcare employee during your entire observation.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be 18 years or older.
    • Enrollment or active application to an accredited healthcare-related program, such as Nursing, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
    • A successful background check.
    • Proof of medical health care coverage.
    • Documentation for MMR and Varicella vaccinations or titers.
    • Proof of current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations or a signed declination.

    • This role is located on-site in Port Townsend, Washington.
    • The position is unpaid.
    • Opportunities may be limited or suspended based on patient census or public health concerns.
