About the role#
This internship provides hands-on training for those pursuing a career in commercial and industrial electrical systems. You will work alongside experienced electricians to gain practical skills in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. What you'll do#
- Learn to use testing equipment like multimeters and voltage testers to diagnose issues.
- Assist with inspecting, testing, and maintaining electrical distribution systems.
- Help install and maintain building electrical systems including lighting fixtures and circuit breakers.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Attend regular safety training and follow electrical safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of education in electrical technology, electrical engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
- A basic understanding of electrical theory and safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude.
- Good mathematical skills and attention to detail.
