About the role#
This internship offers a chance to start a career in commercial real estate. You will work alongside analysts and transaction professionals to gain insight into the hotel real estate industry. This is a full-time, paid position based in Chicago for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with historical P&L reviews, STR analyses, and operating benchmarks.
- Prepare and write market research reports.
- Obtain and analyze market information and statistics.
- Assist in the due diligence process.
- Value listings and proposed listings using Excel.
- Research demographics and traffic counts.
- Review and summarize ground leases.
- Assist in the design and preparation of teasers and books.
- Create charts and other graphic materials.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 3 years of college.
- Pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Strong analytical, Excel, and writing skills.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
