    About the role#

    This internship supports the federal team at the Fort Myer military base in Arlington, Virginia. You will assist with building mechanical systems and building automation and control systems. This role provides a training experience focused on project management and construction coordination. The duration is typically 3 to 5 months, with flexible hours based on your class schedule.

    What you'll do#

    • Support project managers, engineers, and field teams with daily tasks.
    • Prepare project files, reports, customer presentations, and communication documents.
    • Develop customer baselines, benchmarks, and project scheduling reports.
    • Assist in the preparation of mechanical and controls projects and support new business opportunities.
    • Collect data for asset and mechanic systems and perform process or financial task calculations.
    • Compile project documentation including certificates of completion, training forms, and punch lists.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
    • Pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
    • Sophomore status or higher as of fall 2026.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Technical proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • U.S. citizenship is required to handle sensitive government data.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Arlington, Virginia.
    • Modality: On-site at the Fort Myer military base.
    • Commitment: Minimum of 20 hours per week, with up to 40 hours available.
    • Schedule: Typical on-site hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.
