About the role#
Johnson Controls is hiring an Accounting & Finance Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Glendale, Wisconsin. You will work under the supervision of a Finance Manager to gain hands-on experience in corporate finance, with potential opportunities to continue the internship throughout the school year.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial analyses to support and measure business unit results.
- Assist in the planning and analysis of quarterly forecasts, profit plans, monthly financial results, and key financial targets.
- Generate key operational and financial performance metrics.
- Perform special studies, including competitive analysis, industry trend research, and internal benchmarking.
- Develop supporting materials for forecast and profit plan reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of the long-term strategic plan.
- Present findings, results, and analysis of projects to senior leadership.
- Participate in the Future Leaders Internship Program, which includes professional development sessions and an innovation challenge.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the U.S.
- Demonstrated computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
