About the role#
Justice Resource Institute is seeking a BA Level Intern to join the Community Based Services division. This role supports children and families with behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work within an after school environment to provide services that are individualized and culturally competent.
What you'll do#
- Learn to use clinical interventions to support youth in social and educational settings.
- Explore your clinical knowledge through evidence-based and culturally competent modalities.
- Strengthen your documentation skills and gain experience using electronic medical records.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support youth and families.
- Receive supervision from licensed staff to support your clinical growth and degree requirements.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a Bachelor's degree or higher in mental health, social work, or a human service field.
- You have an interest in working with children and adolescents.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
- You possess good written and oral communication skills.
- Please note that background and driving record checks are required for this position.
