    About the role#

    Kagome USA is hiring a Maintenance Intern to support our production facility in Osceola, Arkansas. This role provides hands-on experience by assisting our maintenance technicians with daily equipment inspections and routine upkeep. You will work across our production process, utility support systems, and the waste water system to gain practical knowledge of food production maintenance.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform routine maintenance tasks like greasing, oiling, and lubricating production equipment.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
    • Organize and maintain the maintenance parts area and tool crib.
    • Conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
    • Order parts, lubricants, and supplies through our inventory software.
    • Stock inbound parts and maintain accurate records.
    • Support compliance with Food Safety and Quality Management System policies.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited college with a focus on electrical or mechanical vocational training.
    • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
    • Capability to stand for long periods, reach, bend, and climb stairs.
    • Maintenance of a grade average as required by the Intern Education Assistance Program.
    • Willingness to work in a food plant environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and wet floors.
    • Basic math skills and mechanical or electrical aptitude.
