About the role#
As a Tax Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by completing projects similar to those handled by first-year associates. You will work directly with client data and use the same tools and systems as our full-time staff. This role offers a realistic preview of a career in public accounting.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assist with individual and business tax returns.
- Input and reconcile K-1s, trial balances, fixed assets, and adjusting journal entries.
- Assist with book-to-tax reconciliations, diagnostics, and clearing review points.
- Conduct basic tax research and help draft tax blog content on current topics.
- Work on grouped returns to build repetition and confidence across various client files.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one semester of an intermediate-level accounting class.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and general computer tasks.
- A clear interest in pursuing a career in public accounting and sitting for the CPA exam.
- A detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and collaborative mindset.
