About the role#
This is a 10.5-week summer internship within Key Investment Services. You will work directly with a Private Client Advisor to gain experience in the wealth management industry. The program runs from May 26, 2027, to August 6, 2027. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Albany, Oregon. Please note that this role does not offer employment visa sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a Private Client Advisor for hands-on mentorship.
- Assist with client discovery, financial planning, data entry, and analysis.
- Observe client meetings and provide administrative support.
- Manage Salesforce records and help organize client events.
- Digitize client files and verify contact information.
- Participate in Key Corp Enterprise learning labs and networking events.
- Collaborate with other interns on a Capstone Group Project regarding industry topics.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a four-year or graduate-level degree with an expected graduation by May 2029.
- Coursework focus in finance, accounting, economics, or data science.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork through work or extracurricular activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preference is given to candidates pursuing the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification.
Location & details#
- Location: 128 Third Avenue SW, Albany, Oregon.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $23 per hour plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
- Travel: Ability to routinely operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license is required.
