    About the role#

    Kimley-Horn is hiring a Structural Intern for our office in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a full-time, on-site position. You will work on structural projects including bridges and retaining walls while learning to navigate industry-standard software and design requirements.

    What you'll do#

    • Use technical software to analyze, produce, and quality-check project deliverables.
    • Contribute to pre-construction efforts for public and private structural projects.
    • Prepare structural plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
    • Solve complex technical problems and support project managers.
    • Learn to apply federal, state, and local regulations to design work.
    • Gain experience with programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and GIS.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be currently pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering degree at the bachelor or master level.
    • Eligible majors include Civil, Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, as well as Engineering Technology.

    • This role is located in Fort Worth, Texas.
    • This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
