About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring a Structural Intern for our office in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a full-time, on-site position. You will work on structural projects including bridges and retaining walls while learning to navigate industry-standard software and design requirements.
What you'll do#
- Use technical software to analyze, produce, and quality-check project deliverables.
- Contribute to pre-construction efforts for public and private structural projects.
- Prepare structural plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Solve complex technical problems and support project managers.
- Learn to apply federal, state, and local regulations to design work.
- Gain experience with programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and GIS.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering degree at the bachelor or master level.
- Eligible majors include Civil, Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, as well as Engineering Technology.
