    About the role#

    Kimley-Horn is hiring Engineering students for a Structural Intern position in our Irving, Texas office. This is a full-time, on-site role with a rolling start date. You will work alongside our team to support structural design efforts and project delivery.

    What you'll do#

    • Use technical software to analyze, produce, and quality-check client deliverables.
    • Work on pre-construction tasks for structural projects, including bridges and retaining walls.
    • Prepare structural plans, specifications, and estimates.
    • Solve technical problems and assist project managers.
    • Learn federal, state, and local regulations along with company standards.
    • Gain experience with software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and GIS.

    What you'll need#

    • You are currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree from an ABET-accredited program.
    • Eligible majors include Civil, Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering.

    • This position is located in Irving, Texas.
    • This is an on-site, full-time role.
    • This is a paid internship.
