    About the role#

    The Mechanical Engineer Intern supports the new product development team by providing project assistance and technical feedback. You will gain engineering experience by working alongside staff to design, test, and improve products. This role requires on-site work in a team environment where you will contribute to the development process from initial modeling to manufacturing recommendations.

    What you'll do#

    • Create 3D prints and manage post-processing for new product development.
    • Design and build prototypes and test fixtures.
    • Work with the engineering team to submit products to the test lab.
    • Analyze test results and provide recommendations based on your findings.
    • Partner with the manufacturing team to suggest process improvements.
    • Create or modify basic models and prints.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program for Mechanical Engineering.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
    • Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
    • Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks like standing, walking, or reaching.
