About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at Kroger, you will work on-site in a retail environment. This is a full-time, paid position that offers a rolling term. You will support the pharmacy team by managing day-to-day operations and helping customers with their medication needs.
What you'll do#
- Provide drug counseling to customers.
- Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Dispense the correct medication.
- Contact prescribers offices for authorization.
- Provide immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A current state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a busy environment.
- Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
