About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based at the La-Z-Boy World Headquarters in Monroe, Michigan. You will support the HR department while gaining practical experience in business strategy and internal processes. This role offers the opportunity to interact with senior leadership and collaborate with other interns throughout the season.
What you'll do#
- Participate in various projects within the Human Resources department.
- Develop your business acumen and understanding of company processes.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on team-based tasks.
- Present your accomplishments and feedback to leadership at the end of the season.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Bachelor’s degree program focused on HR or Business Administration, with 2-3 years of coursework completed.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Monroe, Michigan.
- The role follows a hybrid work model, with the ability to work remotely two days per week.
- Travel may be required for this position.
