About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship based in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. You will work directly with our engineering staff on technical assignments and projects. The program lasts at least 10 weeks and provides experience in an engineering development environment. Each intern is assigned a mentor to support professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Follow basic work instructions to learn company fundamentals.
- Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Gather and assemble data for engineering projects.
- Assist with research in your functional area.
- Perform design analysis and calculations.
- Help engineers with specific design details.
- Complete various tasks to learn about our staff, methods, and practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Progress toward an undergraduate degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- A diligent, hardworking approach and a willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of engineering tools relevant to your discipline.
- Preference is given to students entering their junior or senior year.
- Knowledge of 3-phase power systems, power electronics, control systems, switchgear, motors, mg sets, electronics packaging, or energy conversion is a plus.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
