About the role#
Northrop Grumman is hiring Software Engineering Interns for the Summer 2027 program. You will join the Software Engineering directorate and work in an environment that involves regular interaction with users, customers, and fellow developers. This position requires on-site work.
What you'll do#
- Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, and systems.
- Work from engineering drawings and follow written or verbal instructions.
- Operate related equipment and conduct tests while reporting data in a prescribed format.
- Perform calibration and alignment checks.
- Make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
- Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
- Graduation date after August 2027.
- Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar STEM field.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher is preferred.
- Previous internship or co-op experience, leadership capabilities, and strong communication skills are preferred.
