About the role#
The Lorenz Clinic offers a two-year, full-time Post-Master's Fellowship for clinicians pursuing LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC licensure in Minnesota. This paid, in-person training program is designed for those who want their pre-licensure period to be a developmental experience rather than a focus on high-volume billing. Fellows work within a cohort model, drawing from fields including psychology, social work, and counseling to engage in rigorous, systemic, and relational psychotherapy training.
What you'll do#
- Provide psychotherapeutic services to a variety of clients under direct supervision.
- Carry a caseload of approximately 12-18 active clients, which is built gradually during the initial months.
- Participate in monthly seminars that integrate didactic content and experiential activities.
- Engage actively in the supervisory relationship as a collaborator to shape your professional development.
- Attend weekly and monthly training events, including didactic seminars, grand rounds, and case consultations.
What you'll need#
- A master's degree in psychology, clinical counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, or a closely related field.
- Successful completion of a clinically focused master's-level practicum or internship.
- Current status holding a non-provisional LGSW before the start date.
- Prior preparation in systems thinking, group relations, or relational and psychodynamic intervention models.
- A demonstrated commitment to the profession and the common good.
