About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship with LotusWorks. You will work on-site in New Mexico, supporting our Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) team. This role is designed for students or recent graduates in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering who want to gain practical experience in facility operations and maintenance.
What you'll do#
- Support the E&I team with the safe operation and troubleshooting of facility systems.
- Assist senior technicians with preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, including work on electrical panels, sensors, and instrumentation devices.
- Participate in equipment inspections and field verifications to ensure site safety standards are met.
- Learn and apply electrical measurement techniques, such as checking voltage and continuity, under the guidance of a mentor.
- Record maintenance data, readings, and results in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Support the installation, wiring, and calibration of instrumentation and control devices.
What you'll need#
- 1 to 3 years of experience in electrical or instrumentation maintenance.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A technical certificate, associate’s degree, or training in Mechanical, HVAC, or Industrial Maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety procedures such as LOTO, confined space entry, and chemical handling.
- A strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn advanced maintenance techniques.
