About the role#
This Accounting Summer Internship is a full-time position based in Toronto. It serves as a pathway to the CPA Development Program for students interested in pursuing a CPA designation. You will work alongside accounting professionals to gain technical experience, business insight, and leadership skills.
What you'll do#
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables.
- Prepare monthly reports and perform analysis related to your specific job functions.
- Assist with month-end production, including journal entries, budgets, and adjustments.
- Investigate financial ledgers, statements, and journals using Excel and other software tools.
- Lead efforts to improve existing reporting processes.
- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- A solid foundation in general business principles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Knowledge of Access and Visual Basic, as these are required for some roles.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
