About the role#
This is a 4-month co-op position for Winter 2027. You will join our technology team to gain hands-on experience with data systems that support business decision-making. You will work with engineers to design, build, and optimize data pipelines while transforming raw data into useful information. This role provides exposure to data architecture, processing, and analytics in an enterprise environment.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to a team focused on building reliable and scalable data systems.
- Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and workflows.
- Assist with data ingestion, transformation, and preparation for reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to understand data requirements and support solutions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or Java.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
- Interest in data engineering concepts including data pipelines and data processing.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.
- Exposure to data tools like Spark or Databricks, ETL processes, data modeling, or cloud environments like AWS or Azure is helpful.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, Ontario.
- Term: January 5, 2027, to April 22, 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid. You will be in the office Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with an expected salary range of $52,650 to $70,200 CAD, pro-rated based on the length of the work term.
